What started as a part time experiment at the local markets in early 2016, has now evolved into a full time business venture for the husband and wife team, Michael and Paola Karamallis, who have experienced a huge demand for their services and fairy floss range. Considering colour is what most people associate with fairy floss, we're so excited to have been able to innovate this food concept by creating a fun, flavour packed experience, that will shock, excite and get that inner child in you screaming for more.
Our soft, cloud-like bundles of joy are brought to life by intertwining some unexpected ingredients like freeze dried fruit and powdered toppings to create a symphony of flavours, that will make you never look at fairy floss the same way again. Gone are the days of pink or blue fairy floss in a bag or on a stick. With a range of 25 gourmet creations available in our prepackaged tamper proof containers, together with our instagrammable freshly spun options we have managed to build an engaged and organic following on our social media platforms by demonstrating a strong point of difference. At our events we also offer our customers a freshly spun option that is served in our custom made bouquets and on our over the top LED Foam Sticks that create a Glow in the Dark Fairy Floss experience, that’s served bigger than your head.
In our initial stages of business we focused on doing as many events as possible, often showcasing our products and services in up to 4-6 events a week. Since January 2018 we have managed to reduce our presence in the local market scene by focusing on major events and building our online presence. With the impact of the Coronavirus and the ban of mass gatherings we have transitioned our entire business online and patiently await the return of some of Australia's biggest events. Now that the event industry is in hibernation we’ve decided to bring some of our favourite brands and products to you. While we work to build a collection of Fluffy Crunch favourites, we’re committed to expanding our creation of fun, nostalgic fairy floss creations that are full of flavour and guaranteed to get your inner child screaming for more.
Customers have been raving about our amazing flavours and quirky creations since we started our business. In 2018 we entered four of our best creations into the Sydney Royal Fine Food Show and received one Silver Medal and three Bronze Medals. We had finally received industry recognition for our creations. In 2019 we entered a few more flavours and received 8 additional medals - one Gold, one Silver and five Bronze Medals.
In 2018 we created the World’s first Fairy Floss Advent to help you countdown the days to Christmas. Featuring 25 different creations, this beautifully presented gift box is a great way to bring friends and family together during the festive season.
Fluffy Crunch introduced Sydneysiders to Glow in the Dark Fairy Floss #BiggerThanYourHead served on LED Foam Sticks. In partnership with the Overseas Passenger Terminal and Food Truck’s United we’ve been a regular fixture at this annual festival from 2017-2019.

With increasing requests to be part of upcoming events, weddings and corporate gatherings, we struggled to facilitate the demand. We decided to give customers an opportunity to share a little piece of Fluffy Crunch in the form of our personalised petite party favours, which give you more time to focus on your celebration while we take care of the rest.
We offer a full service event experience where we provide our funky little cart, multiple flavours and an operator to spin and serve your guests. While we've catered for businesses like Google, Atlassian, Toyota and Westfield our most memorable occasion was when MTV and Chemist Warehouse secured our services to help launch Paris Hilton's newest fragrance Rose Rush.
